1983 R80ST - For Sale - £2,500

Quite a rare Bike - less than 7,000 produced. The road version of the G/S - lots of Reports at the time said it was a better Bike than the G/S and some went as far as saying that it was the BEST Bike that BM had EVER produced. Download and read the following [ this ]- what was said about the Bike in 1983
My Bike was registered in Sept 1983. The Bike runs very well in all respects - It has a Surefoot Side Stand, Stainless Exhaust and Collector Box, Voltmeter and Clock. The Bike has been re-wired in the past, (normal), and the heads checked and work done so that the Bike runs on unleaded. Both wheels are very good, alloy with s/s spokes, (no rust or corrosion). The front forks are very good and the chrome on the stanchions is as new. The tyres have done about 1,500 and are road tyres. The Bike was painted about 6 years ago - Marakesh Red, (the GS colour) - quite a good job - almost as good as the original. Tank - a few marks but no dints. Paintwork good on both guards and side panels are both OK. Instruments good - showing 18,000 BUT it is on the second Speedo - I was told by the previous owner that the original one was changed at 15,000 miles - a few MOT certificates to indicate that this could be genuine and the Bike rides like a 40,000 miles. The clutch is good and the gearbox as smooth as all 800s. As far as I am aware there is nothing wrong at all with the Bike. Comes with period BM panniers - the panniers rails are Chrome - some of which has chipped off and has been painted silver.
CLICK on the Thumbs below to see larger pictures - Remember it is a 25 year old Bike that has not been restored, (apart from the paint job), and is in good original condition. If you like them like that, you will not be disappointed. - That's all I can think of - I am selling because I need to "down size". The 80ST is great to ride - easy, comfortable, and a monoshock/monolever airhead. They are OK green laning as long as there is not too much mud around - and as with all Airheads, they have been taken RTW
The top two photos are the colour of the Bike - for some reason, (the camera), the others are a more red

This is a very good Bike - contact me if you are interested - £2,500
